Le Barchette 5 - Piano Terra

The apartment is nice, but San Cataldo is a party place. Most of the night it’s very loud, with people screaming and cars and motorcycles driving fast and making a lot of noise. It’s no place for chilling or sleeping.

The apartments had all the necessary amenities and were comfortable and clean. Four of us found it a bit cramped, but it worked fine for our four-day stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the evening aperitifs with Enrica’s pizzica lesson was a great experience. She was engaging and fun. The location made it easy to get to nearby tourist spots and enjoy boat tours and walks along the coast. We tried some of the many places to eat, and they were excellent. There was a lot of noise and commotion in the streets at night, but it was bearable for that time of year. A wonderful holiday for unwinding and enjoying the beautiful views.

The sea is only about a two-minute walk away, which made this a handy spot for a quick family break. We booked on Booking.com at what I thought was a great price. There’s a roomy living area with a sofa bed and a spacious double bedroom, plus a front patio with a table and chairs and a back one with loungers and a drying rack. The kitchen has a fridge, induction hob, pots and pans. They even left a small supply of sponges and washing-up liquid, along with bags and containers for sorting recycling, which was much appreciated.
