We liked Palazzo Guido so much that our original four-night booking turned into six. The spacious room was quiet, with a comfortable bed, distinctive furniture, a clean bathroom, a pleasant seating area, and my favorite touch, a heated towel warmer. The rooftop was a lovely spot to watch the sunset, with a view of the cathedral. The shared spaces also have lots to look at, including old family photos, books, and beautiful antiques. Geltrude said she had tried to preserve the Palazzo's character when remodeling, and it shows. She is a lovely host and owner, shared the history of the building, which has been in her family for generations, and helped us with restaurant recommendations and bookings. The location is ideal for cathedrals, museums, historic sites, and restaurants. We plan to return next year.

The bed was the most comfortable one we had on our vacation, and breakfast offered Italian pastries, cereals, and eggs made to order. The host, a descendant of the palace's original owners from the 16th century, made us feel at home. At times it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Our room looked out over a piazza, so there was always something to watch. There is a delicious pizzeria below the balcony, and it can be noisy until around midnight. We're night owls, so it didn't bother us, and the host warned us at check-in and offered a quieter room. Early risers might want to reserve a room away from that area. It's a fantastic base in Lecce's beautiful historic center for a trip around Puglia, and we'd happily stay again.

The Palazzo has been renovated with real care, while keeping its character and attention to detail. Behind the front door, Geltrude and her welcoming team have made a stylish, beautiful, and hospitable sanctuary. Christina makes sure you have what you need at breakfast, and Geltrude can help with restaurant bookings or suggestions for days out. The honesty bar is well stocked, there's a table of sweet treats, and the rooftop terrace is a lovely, twinkling place to end the day. Nothing seems like too much trouble here. We really didn't want to leave and will be back.

Geltrude Guido is the reason I keep coming back to Palazzo Guido. She's welcoming and helpful, with spot-on recommendations, and can help solve whatever comes up. She truly wants you to enjoy your time in Lecce. My room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was varied and tasty, and the traditional style is well appointed. The location inside the city walls is handy too. Highly recommend. I'll return.

We stayed in the Airbnb apartment at Palazzo Guido, and it felt peaceful, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. In my opinion, it's the most spacious and carefully designed accommodation in Lecce, or even Italy overall. The location is ideal, right in the center, quiet, close to parking, and convenient for getting around Lecce. The property has been renovated and decorated beautifully, with elegant detail throughout. Mrs. Geltrude made the place special for us. She kindly helped with everything we needed, and her warmth, friendliness, and recommendations made our trip unforgettable. The staff were also extremely welcoming. I saw the hotel rooms too, and each was uniquely beautiful, carefully designed, and very luxurious. Palazzo Guido is the top of the top for me, and definitely my first choice if I stay in Lecce again.
