Palazzo Sant'Anna Lecce

We used SantAnna as our base for five nights, and the service and care with the details went beyond what we expected. In six weeks of exploring Italy, we hadn't come across service that came close. The staff deserve credit for giving guests such a wonderful experience.

The people here are what make the stay stand out. Everyone working at this establishment was professional and lovely, and they clearly wanted us to have the best experience they could offer. Their help ranged from restaurant suggestions and booking a place before we arrived to a delightful breakfast. They even made and brought out a surprise cake for my partner's birthday, which made her trip that much more special. The property is beautiful, and the place is right in the historic centre of Lecce, a lovely area to relax. Photos can show you the building, but they can't quite capture how much the hospitality matters. If you're choosing between a few places, the staff here could make all the difference.

We honeymooned here in 2018 and had a magical stay that became the highlight of our trip. The owner went out of her way to make sure we had a great time, and the hospitality was hard to match. The area was amazing and so romantic. We still think about the stay often, even though this review is a few years late. I doubt much has changed.

My partner summed it up: “Amazing amazing amazing.” The hotel was beautifully presented and wonderfully peaceful, with incredible service from every staff member. Breakfast was a huge spread of delicious food, and the enormous bed was comfortable. We stayed two nights and could easily have spent a week there as a base. Parking nearby is easy and very cheap.
