The garden, pool, and beautiful rooms made this a wonderful place to stay, and the owner was friendly. Breakfast was great, although it was vegetarian every day we were there, which we hadn't asked for, so I assume that's the usual offering. One thing to bear in mind: you'd better not be allergic to dogs.

Everything was very clean and tidy, and the welcome was exceptional. The host couldn't have done more for us.

Breakfast was much better than average, served out on the patio by the main entrance. The lush garden surrounds the house, with a lovely pool for guests. Our spacious first-floor room had its own bathroom, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. The connection wasn't especially fast, though that's down to the local network. The house also contains the owner's apartment, with the guest rooms in a separate part. It's a very peaceful and safe area, away from traffic. San Cataldo, the nearest town with restaurants and shops, is about 4 km away, so you'll need a car or other transport. Walking there would take too long and wouldn't feel entirely safe because of the traffic. The owner was kind and ready to help with requests or just have a friendly chat.

I come back every summer, and often visit during the year too. Marianna is wonderful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is lovely, while all the greenery and quiet make it my own little oasis of peace. Breakfast is fantastic as well. If you need to get away from everyday life, Solely and Salt is the place to go, truly.
