We had a really fun cooking class. We couldn’t find the place at first, so the family gave us a ride there. The father went out of his way to make sure we had a good time, and everyone was so friendly. The food was delicious. Thank you so much!

We had a great time at the cooking experience with our host. Such a lovely family, and their residence is beautiful.

I booked a week at Villa Urso, managed by Carlo, after seeing all the glowing reviews. About ten days before we were due to arrive, my husband and I called to arrange things and Carlo seemed completely taken aback that we had a dog. He wanted another €15 a day for our 7 kg dog. I checked with the agency I booked through, and they confirmed we had declared the dog correctly and that the fee already covered him, so Carlo couldn’t charge us extra. He wouldn’t accept that and offered either €10 a day instead, or for the dog to stay outside. By then I felt uncomfortable even before the trip, and the whole thing had started so badly that I cancelled. I lost half of what I’d paid upfront in one lump sum. Later, out of curiosity, I checked the listing again. The blue room we’d been assigned, which was the room that allowed dogs, had somehow changed and no longer allowed them.

There was little privacy in the room, with two connecting doors, and you could hear the other guests whenever they came and went. Outside, things were dirty and poorly kept, and there wasn’t a place to relax. Cleanliness also seemed neglected. Disappointing.
