Il Grifo

Il Grifo has an authentic feel, clean rooms, kind staff and a restaurant with good food. The lake is only two minutes away for a nice view, and the Greenway nearby connects to other villages, including Lenno. The C10 bus stop is a three-minute walk. We had a very nice stay in June, though construction work outside made it a little noisy. I'd recommend it for a simple stay with an authentic touch.

The food was really nice, and the staff were lovely and helpful. We had the best honeymoon in beautiful Lenno. Our room at Grifo was perfect, with a beautiful view of the lake, and it was cleaned every day. Nothing to complain about.

Christian went above and beyond to make my partner's birthday special, and we really appreciated it. The family running the place were so accommodating, and our room was amazing with a great view. Breakfast had everything we needed and was good too. We stayed for her birthday and had an amazing time. 10/10, we'd stay again.

The restaurant at La Locanda del Grifo serves lunch and dinner onsite, and the food has been consistently delicious. At busy times there's sometimes a short wait, but it's worth it. I've stayed here several times because it's conveniently located near Villa Balbiano, where I often work. Earlier visits weren't always as good for rooms or service, but this latest one exceeded my expectations. The staff made me feel well looked after from arrival. After I asked, they arranged early check-in, got me something to eat straight away and helped with internet access. Everyone was kind, attentive and genuinely helpful. I was also moved to a higher-category room on the third floor. Getting my suitcase up there wasn't easy, but the room was spacious, fresh and modern, with large skylights and stunning mountain views. It was very comfortable and felt like a real retreat. I'd happily return soon. I highly recommend La Locanda del Grifo for a stay around Ossuccio or Tremezzo, and I'm grateful to the team for their hospitality.
