We had a lovely, quiet stay here in the hills above Lerici. The garden views were breathtaking, and it was great to unwind by the pool. Our bedroom was spacious, with a large private bathroom across the corridor. We didn’t have any of the humidity problems mentioned in earlier comments. Maria was a thoughtful, low-key host. It worked really well for our Cinque Terre visit, though you’ll want a car.

Maria looked after the place so well, and her advice about the region was really useful. Breakfast was very good too. I stayed for three nights and had a wonderful time. I’d happily come back. Thanks again!

We had a wonderful holiday staying with Maria and her husband. The house sits on a hill with a lovely view, and breakfast is generous. Maria is lovely and speaks excellent French. Her tips for the Cinque Terre, Lucca, Florence, Carrara, known for its marble, and other places were great. A shuttle runs fairly regularly to San Torenzo beach or Lerici, handy for heading to the beach after sightseeing. If you like walking, the village is about 15 minutes from the house. Very good value for money, too.

The little pool looks nice, but the setting isn’t great: the B&B is on a highway bend, and getting out of the car just off the road is tricky. There isn’t much traffic, but you can hear it at night. The rooms aren’t anything special compared with other places. From arrival to departure, especially from her, there was an air of annoyance. The rudeness and distrust toward guests are no way to run a hotel. I even wondered if Mauro’s review was a housewarming present from a friend. What a shame. The presumptuous reply was even more disheartening. I’m not the “lady across the street,” who may have argued with the whole neighborhood in front of customers over every little thing she thought was retaliation. I’m simply someone who stayed one night and accompanied a foreign couple who stayed three nights. I shared the opinions of everyone in our group. Giving a history lesson and changing the subject won’t make the issue go away. Weinmer Ursula and Sepple. We were there specifically to research photographic archives about the historical value of the villa where your B&B is, and to study the gardens of Villa Rezzola. Thanks for proving the rudeness again. My only question still stands: if you can’t tolerate local authorities, neighbors, or customers, or people with different habits in your own home, why choose tourism as your work? That’s all.
