The staff are really kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious but fairly basic, and the kitchen and bar are limited. In the off-season there isn’t much to do, so it suits you best if you’re happy just taking in the panorama.

The lake-view terrace is a nice place for breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening, and the wine was delicious. Staff welcomed us warmly and were consistently friendly. You can get by fairly well in English. Breakfast was enough for me: a large croissant each, white bread, jams, honey, Nutella, juice, cappuccino or coffee, and biscuits, with ham, cheese, and salami also available. The hotel is old-fashioned and the rooms are very simple. Our beds weren’t very comfortable. The room faced the street and church; with the windows closed, the noise was bearable. The bathroom window wouldn’t close, though, and that might have helped cut the outside noise. The bathroom itself was quite large, and shower gel and soap were provided free. There’s free parking near the hotel, a boat rental nearby for motor boats, and a supermarket within walking distance. About a 20-minute walk away are both a stony beach and a sandy one.
