Her son sounded really nice, but the booking experience put us off. He first suggested booking directly for a lower price and said they’d get back to us. When they didn’t, I contacted them again and got different information and prices. In the end, we didn’t feel welcome, so we booked somewhere else.

We had such a lovely stay that leaving so soon was hard. The owners were wonderfully welcoming and always happy to help with what we needed or suggest places to visit. The rooms were spotless and very warm, and the property is right in the heart of the Majella. And a special mention for little Athos! We’ll be back.

It really does feel like home, even with the services you’d expect from a three-star hotel: continental breakfast, a change of clothes, and a swimming pool. Mary has made her dream into a reality with this B&B in an Abruzzo town that’s full of festivals and events, especially in summer. The heat was a shame, though.

The mountain views from the top of the village are beautiful and unobstructed, and it’s a magnificent spot for nature lovers. The hosts were incredibly kind, and the atmosphere felt very family friendly. There’s no parking on site, but street parking right outside was easy. Breakfast had lovely local products and a delicious fresh fruit salad.
