Judith at reception was wonderful and helpful, and they left snacks in the room each day. Everything was very clean. The shower pressure could have been better, and a couple of the cleaning staff came across a bit abrasive, though those were small inconveniences given how thoughtful the place was. The location made everything easy: beach, supermarket, center, and laundromat are steps away, with the train station only a few minutes on foot.

Prosecco and breakfast items were a lovely little surprise, and Judith made a great host. I really enjoyed my stay, especially as a base for taking the train around Cinque Terre. I'd also suggest the coastal walk, where you can watch the waves crash against the rocks.

We were stunned by how lovely our room was. It opened onto a full garden with an outdoor dining table we didn't end up using, plus a lounge chair and table that we did. The photos hadn't prepared us, and after seeing other images I'd worried it might not be as nice. Each morning they restocked the complimentary Prosecco, Italian snacks, still water, and coffee and tea pods. I never expect much from pod machines, but this one made espresso with a proper crema, and we had a cup before heading out in the evenings. Honestly, the coffee maker alone won me over. They also gave us maps and guides for trains, ferries, and hiking trails, along with a train timetable we relied on to know when to head back. Il Veliero worked perfectly for exploring Cinque Terre. We were just ahead of the crowds getting on the trains, so we could always get a seat. Thanks, Il Veliero, for making my sister's trip that much more special.

A grocery store is right downstairs, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The coastal tunnel walk is close too, and the scenery along it is striking. We found it a great base for visiting all of Cinque Terre national park. Everything in town is close, and the train station is about a 10-minute walk. The woman who checked us in was efficient and very nice. Our room was clean and fairly spacious. Breakfast was simple, just a few croissants.
