Hotel Nazionale

Breakfast was outstanding, with little changes to the selection during our stay that kept it feeling fresh. The hotel looked after our family of four, including our two children under 10, so well. Everyone on staff was lovely, and we found the room welcoming and easy to access. Having towels available to take to the beach was perfect. We really enjoyed staying here. 👍🏻

The rooftop seating area has a lovely mountain view, and the hotel offers free bicycles as well as discounted beach spots with umbrellas and loungers. It’s a short walk to the beach and about ten minutes on foot from the station; Monterosso is a five-minute ride away. The hotel is in the center of Levanto, a pleasant, family-friendly town, with lots of shops and restaurants close by. Everything was very clean, and the staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was included and had lots of tasty options. We highly recommend Hotel Nazionale!

Benedetta came through for us when our original Airbnb in Corniglia fell through. The bus never showed, so I was stressing and took the train back to Levanto, then called to ask if the hotel had a room. It was almost midnight, but she stayed until my partner and I arrived and helped us settle into a gorgeous room. It was super clean, cozy, and already cool inside, with AC too. I wish my group had booked here instead of Corniglia. Levanto is easy to get around and makes getting to and from cinque terre simple. I highly recommend staying here.

A street-facing balcony looked down toward the beach, which was just a five-minute stroll away. Our family suite was clean and fairly modern, with a separate bedroom for three adults, a couple and one single. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were good. Everyone on staff was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful, and we could borrow beach towels and umbrellas for free at reception. It was midsummer, so there was some street noise at night, but we were still delighted to have found such a comfortable, down-to-earth place. We needed somewhere at short notice and got lucky because they’d had a no-show the night before. It wasn’t fancy or luxurious, just one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. Hope we can return someday.
