Hotel Ariston

The hotel is well situated, but it felt like a dead area and was boring. The restaurant was closed, and so was the pool bar, so we had to order through the front desk. Service was horrible, and the breakfast was terrible apart from the coffee. There was no juice, just water with some "juice" in it. No scrambled eggs, croissants, or bacon, and the ham and sausages were dry. The fruit salad was from a tin. Breakfast ran from 8-10. We arrived at 8:45, but only the yogurt had been replenished, and everything else looked so bad that nobody took anything from the canteen. I asked the staff to bring more, but they didn't. Very weird. The coffee machine had run out of water, then was full of old coffee. The hotel was far too expensive. I won't come back.

The pool was really comfortable, the food was good, and we had a nice room with easy private parking. Dogs are welcome too. The hotel is beautiful and full of character, in a lovely spot very close to the lake. From the balcony, you get a beautiful view of both the lake and the mountains.

The staff were nice, and the room was an okay size, with a desk, chair, small balcony and outdoor chair, plus a bathroom with a bidet. One odd thing was how drinks and other purchases were charged to the room and settled on the last day. It could get complicated, since staff might have trouble checking whether you'd given the right room number when ordering.

Adriana was wonderful, and Alice was so kind. We arrived in the evening, and Alice went out of her way to find us a place at the “cousins” Ambassador, just 50 meters away. And a big thank you to the girl with glasses whose name I unfortunately don't know, she was incredibly kind and courteous too. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean. It's also really well placed, close to Lake Levico and, for people like us following the races, Lake Caldonazzo. There's a little train that goes under the hotel and takes you to the village for a short ride. Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back!
