The palazzo and its blooming garden made for such a relaxing stay. We felt right at home with Mirella and Francesco. Mirella cooked the most delicious fresh food and taught us lots of authentic Italian recipes, while Francesco shared his love and knowledge of wine and showed us wine he’d made himself. It was our best travel experience. Thank you to such wonderful hosts and people 💕 We can’t wait to come back!

Francesco was amazing and made sure everything went well for our group of 16 celebrating our 50th birthdays in October 2024. The castle was perfect, with plenty of shared spaces as well as separate rooms and bathrooms for each couple. Everyone loved Francesco’s wine tasting, and his passion really came through. We had two very good meals at the castle, and his recommendation of Montagne Verde was a hit too. It sits atop a nearby mountain, with spectacular food at a very affordable price. We also took trips to Parma, Lucca, Cinque Terre and Pontremoli. A great spot for large groups, with wonderful hosts and a unique sense of the area’s and building’s history.

We were there for five days in September 2018 as a wedding party of 22. The Villa is spectacular, spacious and comfortable, and Mirella was a very accommodating hostess. We loved walking through the village, and the local tavern and restaurants were excellent. Nothing could compare to the food at our wedding feast, which was prepared in house. Thanks again, Mirella. I’d highly recommend your beautiful place and hope to return soon.

For a peaceful stay, this is the place. Everything was perfect, and the owners, Mirella & Francesco, are lovely people who look after you and make you feel like family.
