The rooms felt new and were clean, with everything we needed: AC, a kettle, bathrobes and beach towels. Communication was easy too. They answered all our questions and handled the booking and parking by email, and the staff were quick and attentive. Breakfast was my favourite part. There was plenty of fresh cut fruit, plant-based milk, fresh pastries and juice you could make there. They also prepared avocado toast and pancakes to order. I loved the tea selection and the good-quality coffee. 😊

The bar staff were really nice, but the reception could communicate better. We were overcharged and left a day early. At checkout, the receptionist said we should take a sea-view room next time. There won't be a next time. Our room felt like sleeping in a garage. The bed was old, there was terrible noise, and when we offered to pay for a better room, that wasn't possible. Staff were vacuuming and shouting outside our room at 7 in the morning. There was only one outlet for charging a phone, and it wasn't near the bed. The pool was so dirty for the first three days that you couldn't see into it. It only cleared on the last day, when we could see bugs in the water.

The Bellavista felt like a family run place where people take pride in their work. The staff were amazing, courteous and professional, and the hotel had everything else you'd expect from a 4**** hotel, plus free bikes for guests and reserved parasols and sun loungers at the beach across the road. The food was out of this world: fresh ingredients, simple Mediterranean cooking, refined in style and beautifully presented. It could probably sit comfortably on the menu of a 1 star Michelin restaurant. We had a lovely time last week. Definitely the place to be in Lignano.

They damaged my rental car, then laughed and said it was just a rental. Maybe I have a Ferrari at home. Would they break that too? There should be at least some compensation in a situation like this. Instead they laughed, took videos and called the police. Avoid! Rossini was much better, a few streets up. The damage will be paid, but that's the minimum, and I don't care about that. My last day was spent feeling nervous, dealing with administration and arguing. 👎 Next month, Greece instead!

The beach was very close, and our room had a beautiful sea view. It was a bit small but clean. The food was really delicious, and the staff were friendly and nice. We had a very good experience and I'd visit again. 🥰
