Food was a real highlight at Hotel Marin. Breakfast is generous and high quality, and at dinner there's also a salad buffet if the primo, secondo and dolce somehow aren't enough. I don't understand the complaints about the portions. The building is a historic landmark from the early 20th century, so it has a vintage feel, but it's still comfortable. It's right opposite the beach, which made it a great spot for a relaxing holiday.

The balcony was lovely, and breakfast and the terrace were great. The garden pool area has lots of shade, and there's a kids' pool too. The shower is quite tiny, you can reach both sides with your elbows. The double bed is two single mattresses that slide apart.

I liked the view, the service, the breakfast quality and how welcoming everyone was. This was my second time staying here, and mostly everything was fine. We did find mosquitoes and cimici asiatiche in the room, though, and that bug really scares me.
