Hotel Salus

The location is nice and close to the beach, where you get your own sun bed based on your room. But the room looks old, more like what I’d expect from a three star hotel, and the bathroom is the same. The shower is so tiny it doesn’t feel adult size. Breakfast is okay but repetitive, and I was bored of it by day three. Parking was horrible: they take your keys and park the car somewhere, and they left ours unlocked for days before we noticed. The hotel has different star ratings posted in different areas, sometimes three stars and elsewhere four, which is confusing.

The reception staff were quite good, but the breakfast staff weren’t very welcoming. Breakfast itself wasn’t great either, plenty of three star hotels have much better options. The hotel is nicely placed, just two minutes from an awesome beach, and it’s on the second line. The room had enough space and was good. The bathroom was the weak point: the shower cabin was so small I could barely move in it, and I’m not a big guy.

The bathroom was good, and the room was clean. The bed felt much too soft for me, though. It’s close to the beach, and the staff are kind and speak English and German. A good choice.

For its standard, this is an average, clean three-star hotel. I don’t think it should have received four stars.
