The pool water was extremely cold, even colder than the sea, which felt unreasonable to us. Apart from that, we had a wonderful three-night stay. We thought this was the best part of Lignano Sabbiadoro, much quieter than the upper area but still with plenty to do. Our renovated Deluxe room was spotless, breakfast was nice and had gluten-free choices, and the staff were friendly. The beach is 300 metres away, with dedicated sunbeds and umbrellas available through a voucher from the Hotel. Bikes are free to use for getting around, and there are shops nearby. We’d highly recommend staying here.

The beach is about a 5-8 minute walk away, and stays of at least three nights include an umbrella and sunbeds. We had a very pleasant time and will definitely return. Our room was clean, spacious, air-conditioned, and nicely furnished. Breakfast was a lovely surprise, the large pool was clean and had a children's section, and the staff were helpful and kind. Thanks to the hotel Smeraldo team!

We had a very pleasant stay. The renovated room was clean, roomy, air-conditioned, and nicely furnished. I was pleasantly surprised by breakfast: there were gluten-free pastries, cheese, ham, salami, vegetables, sweet pastries, and plenty of things for making muesli. The pool was clean and large, with an area for children, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The beach is around a 5-8 minute walk away. An umbrella and sunbeds are included for stays of three nights or more, or you can rent them for €15 per day.

I got in touch with Hotel Smeraldo by email because I wanted to surprise my boyfriend during his work trip from the USA with dessert and a glass of wine. The staff were so kind and quick to respond, it really impressed me. I hope I can go there with him sometime!

The location is good and the staff are friendly. The stay was OK overall, but it wasn't very accommodating for English speakers. The menu and the information in the room were only in German and Italian. Also, breakfast wasn't free, despite what it says online.
