Pensione Imperia

Elisabeth and Thomas made us feel welcome and looked after from the start. We had a lovely three-night stay over New Year’s Eve at this small, charming guesthouse. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone, with items topped up when needed. They make eggs fresh to order from their own happy hens, and there were homemade jams and pastries too. The Swiss roll was especially good. The price for what you get is great, and we highly recommend Pension Imperia. Our room was dated but clean and practical, with a balcony and a small fridge. The new mattresses were wonderful. One small bathroom issue: the sink is so deep that the gap between it and the door is really tight. I managed to catch my belt loop on the handle and get stuck for a moment :-D

We booked a double room and a triple for our week away and had a really good stay. The owners were helpful and very kind. The rooms were cute and comfortable, with good beds and air conditioning, which was a relief after a hot day in the sun. The balcony was a nice extra, with a table, chairs, and even clotheslines. The bathroom could use a little improvement, though everything else was fine. The place is conveniently within walking distance of both the beach and town centre, and the price felt fair for the quality.

A great location and very friendly owners. For a two-star bed and breakfast, the value for money is absolutely fine.

I’ve been coming to Lignano for years and always stay with Elisabeth and Thomas at Hotel Imperia. They’re lovely, warm hosts, and I feel right at home. It’s a spotless, cozy house with a welcoming atmosphere for children and dogs. The breakfast is delicious, with fresh eggs from their own chickens, homemade jam, pastries, ham, cheese, fruit, and plenty more. Everything feels just right here. The location is peaceful near the Lungolagunare, lovely for walks, and still only a seven-minute walk to the beach and pedestrian area. There’s a small cozy bar, umbrellas and loungers at the beach, and bikes available to rent. Prices are very reasonable too. There’s a large apartment and double rooms, all with bathrooms, balconies, and TVs. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. I’ve stayed here so many times because Elisabeth and Tom make you feel so welcome and well cared for.
