Villa Luisa

We stayed in the top-floor apartment, which has a large terrace facing east over the unspoiled Lignano Pineta. The building sits in a very quiet spot on a one-way street with almost no traffic, and the beach is an easy walk of 500 meters. There are several accommodations in this vacation home. Heading east, a lovely bike path runs through the pine forest to Lignano Sabbiadoro. Going west, you can ride through Lignano Pineta to Lignano Riviera, then take a convenient ferry and carry on cycling through Bibione.

We waited until 2:30 PM for the keys so there’d be time to clean, but the house was anything but clean when we arrived. There was sand all over the floor, spiderwebs everywhere, hair clumps in the shower, and a musty smell. Cleanliness should come first, especially during COVID, and the house should be properly prepared. It’s listed for four people, but it’s really small, particularly the living area. Rental homes need maintenance instead of being left to deteriorate. Sorry, but this just doesn’t work for us. We won’t be coming back.

A typical holiday two-room apartment, with the essentials you’d expect for a stay in an apartment. The quiet location is a real plus. Shame about the shower curtain and the drain well, which gives off a bad smell.

Nothing beyond a standard apartment for this area. It’s in a quiet part of Lignano Pineta, about 500m from the sea.
