Villaggio Dei Fiori

We were eight people and a baby in the complex. The place had a strong smell and was very dirty when we arrived. We mopped twice, disinfected the furniture and washed the dishes, which still had residue from the previous guests. The floor looked untouched, with hair everywhere and cobwebs in many corners. Some rooms had no electrical outlets, and the blankets smelled so bad they couldn't be used. There are two bathrooms, one outside and one on the first floor. The indoor one has a tiny shower and a broken toilet seat. A drying rack is available. Three of the four rooms have balconies, but they're completely bare. The terrace has a large table and plenty of chairs. The outdoor area isn't very big, but it's adequate. We were missing a broom at first, but they brought one right after we called. It's a bit dated, but has some charm, and there are shops nearby. The beach is about a 30-minute walk away. If it had been clean when we arrived, it would have been a really lovely place.

The apartments are spacious and clean, and good value for money. The pool stays clean and is a nice way to pass the time. Getting to the beach, either private or public, and the town center means a walk of about 1.3 km. If you're on foot, expect to do quite a bit of walking. There aren't many shops close by; the nearest is IN's, about a 10-minute walk. One inconvenience is the laundry setup: there are only two washing machines for around 20 apartments, so you'll need patience while waiting for one to open up.

We cleaned the place ourselves and still managed to enjoy the holiday, but we won't book it again or recommend it. On arrival, it was extremely dirty, as if nobody had cleaned at all. The final cleaning was included in the price, so it's outrageous that it hadn't been done.

The houses are about 20 minutes from the EUROPA check-in agency and 15 minutes from the sea. We were eight and had enough room. There are discount grocery shops and a LIDL nearby, along with a funfair. The two parts of the city are each around a 20-25 minute walk away. The clean pool was a plus. There's also a grill, costing €3 per day with a €20 deposit refunded when you return it. The house has three floors. Upstairs in the attic are two beds and an A/C unit. The next floor has two double-bed rooms, a single-bed room, a full bathroom, A/C that cools the whole floor, and two balconies. Downstairs there's a kitchen, table and sofa that converts to a double bed, plus a small TV with HDMI. Outside are private parking, a bathroom with shower, a plastic table, the grill and outdoor chairs. It wasn't too bad overall, but cleanliness was lacking. I found a piece of candy under the attic bed, there was dust and small spider webs on the ceiling, and the plates weren't clean. Each room has just one outlet. The attic one is under the bed, so bring a long cable or extension cord.
