We stayed for 12 days in September and were made very welcome by Daniella and her family. They were happy to help with anything. The apartments are simple, comfortable and immaculate. Supermarkets are easy to reach, and we had some lovely meals at the local restaurant, Franco's. It's a beautiful countryside setting, with Florence, Lucca and other places within reach by train or car. The train station for Florence is only 3k away in Montelupo.

The location is okay, but getting to other big cities or the beach takes about 45-70 minutes. The rooms feel somewhat old and worn, the beds are very hard, and the kitchen has few utensils.

It's a very nice place, completely peaceful and with all the comforts. A shame there's no dishwasher, and that the terraces aren't separated from each other, even by planters.

Giulia and her family were very attentive and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The residence is well equipped and has a lovely pool. It made a peaceful, wonderful base in the heart of Tuscany for exploring the whole region.

Costanza was courteous and helpful, which we really appreciated. Il Casale is clean, comfortable and carefully furnished after renovation, with greenery and tranquility all around. It's also close to amenities and several art cities. We definitely recommend it.
