I had a great time during the three nights I spent here with a friend. The staff were super friendly, breakfast was great, and the hotel offered some good tour options.

We came for a wedding and stayed five nights at the beginning of June. The area was quiet, with the beach, restaurants, a pharmacy, supermarket, and bus stop all just two minutes away. For more choice and a livelier scene, we could take the bus to the city center. Our room was comfortable, with a nice sea view and a little terrace, but the bathroom could use some repairs. The shower leaked and left a puddle in the room. Breakfast was very nice, with plenty of options, fresh bread, cakes, and croissants every morning. The staff were helpful with arranging tours and sharing information about restaurants and things to do, and they were always ready with a smile.

We had a wonderful four day stay at Hotel Amarea in August. The staff were very kind, and our room was great, with a sea view facing Stromboli and Panarea. The air conditioner worked too.

The staff are beyond friendly, and the rooms are beautiful and spacious. It's an absolute dream of a place, just one block from the beach, so you're seconds from the beautiful sea in summer. It feels like a home away from home and extremely safe. In winter, it would be a great base for a digital nomad, with wifi that works great. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

At 7pm on the check-in date, they called to say the hotel was overbooked and our booking had to be cancelled. The amount due had already been blocked on my credit Card, and we'd arranged our transfer for 7.15pm. Meanwhile, another person from the hotel reception was calling to ask why we weren't already on the transfer. Totally unacceptable, probably the worst experience I've ever had.
