Hotel Alpenrose

There’s lots of space in the hotel’s own underground car park, and the service and breakfast were both very good. You’re right in the center of Livigno, within walking distance of restaurants, shops and bars. The ski lift is only a few minutes away too. I highly recommend staying here.

Juri, the manager, was kind, patient and welcoming, and always happy to answer our questions. The staff were very nice and helpful too. My friend and I spent a week here for a ski holiday in December 2023. The hotel was quiet and pleasant, right in the center of Livigno, with everything we needed nearby. Our room was a little small, but clean and nice, with a good view of the street and mountains. Breakfast was good.

After two weeks in Livigno, once the excitement had settled, we wanted to share how our stay at Alpenrose made the trip even better. We had seven sunny days and wonderful skiing. The hotel sits right in the heart of Livigno, about 10 m from the first shops, restaurants and bars, and 60 m from where you can put on your skis and head to the lift. Our superior room matched the website photo. It was large and clean, with excellent heating, sound and thermal insulation, a lovely mountain view, and very comfortable large beds and pillows. Housekeeping was careful and thorough every day, taking care not to disturb our rest. The garage was spacious, fully enclosed and secure, with quick access to the ski storage room, elevator and guest rooms. Check-in was quick and easy, with excellent help and Italian charm from the owner, Yuri. Breakfast was a treat, with a great selection of fresh food made that morning. Ms. Rita, also an owner, is a lovely, friendly, smiling woman who prepares it with Yuri. There was excellent cheese, prosciutto, bresaola, sweets, fruit, drinks, fresh juices and Ethiopia espresso, my favorite coffee. Thanks to Giodi, I hope I’ve spelled that correctly. Juri and his wife were excellent hosts, always happy to chat. Every morning they served a fantastic breakfast with fresh bread, homemade pie and marmalade, plus some of the best cheeses and meats. When we had an early Saturday departure to avoid traffic, Juri even made us a lovely breakfast to take along. Hotel Alpenrose and the rooms were very clean. It’s in central Livigno, close to the slopes and lifts, and takes about five minutes to reach the slopes from the ski lockers. We’ll certainly be back.
