Appartamenti Chalet Li Baita - Genny E Daniela

The owner was attentive and very helpful throughout our stay, and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. This was our second family visit to Chalet Genny, in the last week of August, and we already know we want to return. We stayed downstairs, where the valley and surrounding mountains make an amazing view, including some peaks with glaciers. The chalet is peaceful and welcoming, a lovely place to unwind and get a feel for nature and local life. Inside, it was clean, tidy, and had what we needed, with a rustic but elegant look. The kitchen was fully equipped for preparing meals. There’s also a terrace with loungers, a table, and a well-equipped barbecue for warm days. Parking is only a few steps from the entrance, and a small recycling area is a little farther uphill. Wi-Fi is available too. It’s a wonderful place, and we’ll definitely be back.

The view was lovely, and our studio had plenty of space and everything we needed. We had a great stay.

We were happy with what we paid for the apartment and with how close it is to the lift. The place was clean and spacious for two, though we could hear some noise from fans and other apartments.

The bathroom had nowhere to put a makeup bag, no shelves or cabinets, and not even a bin. Its extractor fan also didn’t work. Elsewhere, the bed stopped the balcony door from opening all the way, and there were no bedside tables, sockets for bedside lamps, or reading lights. My partner and I spent 10 days in the Gennj studio. We travel often for new experiences, but this stay fell short. There was very little storage for two people’s luggage: just a single-door wardrobe, two drawers, and a couple of shelves above it, so most of our clothes stayed in the suitcases or around the room, which was already short on space. The kitchen was basic, which is understandable, but the lighting over the sink made it hard to see when washing dishes. The microwave’s turntable was jammed too. I think the furniture and lighting need a major overhaul. Sorry to leave this review, but it felt necessary.
