The room was the letdown for us at €250/night. It was cramped, there was no kettle, and the window looked onto the ground and a nearby wall, which didn’t feel much like a holiday. Noise carried in from the restaurant and other rooms too. The rest of the place has a warm, family home feel, with welcoming and helpful staff. The breakfast server was especially nice, and breakfast itself was good, with tasty basics. There’s also a restaurant on site with great pizza, and Mottolino is within walking distance. It has plenty of charm, but the stay didn’t feel worth the price.

I won’t recommend this place because of the poor contact and what felt to us like an inhospitable lack of empathy over our situation. A week before the stay, Mrs. Jasmin asked in emails whether we were still coming, but when I tried calling over the following days, she didn’t answer. I only managed to speak to her once, a week before we were due to arrive. We had booked two large apartments five months ahead for two families and six children, for the first half of April. A week before the trip, rain was forecast for our dates, and we felt we couldn’t travel with the children and would have nothing to do there after driving over 1300 kilometers. I asked first to cancel with a 50% refund, then to move the booking forward a few days so we could spend the holidays there. Mrs. Jasmin refused both, and also wouldn’t reimburse the costs they would have avoided if we didn’t come, such as cleaning, laundry, taxes, electricity, and water. I know non-refundable bookings are non-refundable, and I work in this business myself. I’m willing to accept changes and cancellations because a place can usually be rented again, for more or less. The way this was handled felt very unpleasant. My objection isn’t simply that we couldn’t cancel or get even a 10% refund of those costs, but the lack of contact and what came across to me as greed.

We had a great eight-day ski holiday here, with a panoramic view over Livigno and a handy location near Motolino and the city center. The rooms were very clean, breakfast was rich, and the staff and cuisine were great. They make really good pizza, pasta, and grilled food, and we appreciated that they love pets. Romanian tourists can choose this place without hesitation. We’ll definitely return. One warning: avoid Al Mond Vei, the restaurant at the Motolino roundabout. I consider it a biological hazard, as I got food poisoning after eating deer/capriolo meat there.

Matteo and Jasmin gave us excellent service, and the restaurant was just what we needed. The hotel was perfect!
