Chalet Garden

Our friend group had a great time staying here! 😍

The hotel looks nice and has a good reputation, but I found the chalets terrible and the staff very unprofessional. Think before booking this chalet. I stayed in Chalet Garden Rododendro, part of Alpina Hotel. The apartment was very dark, with poor lighting, and there was visible mould on the kitchen wall. The person who showed us the place said he hadn't noticed it, but a patch that large must have taken a long time to grow, so I think he had seen it before. They charged 100 euro for an ordinary, cheap PVC fridge shelf that was already broken when we moved in. The chalet was overdate and had a small, old fridge. There were no tea cups either, so we had to drink tea from bowls. For what we paid, I expected a proper duvet or blanket, but there was only a bed cover. The ski locker battery didn't work. I asked for a replacement, but they didn't have one, and the box stayed open. It should have been checked before we arrived. The sidewalk by the stairs was very icy, although the other apartments' sidewalks were fine. I slipped a few times. The guy said he'd put salt down, but the ice didn't melt even a little, so I don't think there was any salt. One person in our group was bitten four times. I don't know what it was, perhaps a bedbug or spider, but I don't think it was a spider.

The mountain views are fantastic, and the transport links are good. It’s a very nice place to stay, with about a 10 minute walk to the montelino ski lift.

We brought a group of women from the USA for a yoga retreat, and the owners and employees were as accommodating as could be. The views are amazing too.
