Chalet Layla by Original Galli

This is a cosy, warm place with lovely views, close to the town center and surrounded by shops and restaurants. The owner’s cat and dog are both very friendly. I’d suggest staying if you can arrive by 8pm, don’t have children with you, and are certain you’ll leave right on time. The owner lives on the property, but there’s still a strict 8pm check-in cutoff, with a steep hourly fee after that until 1am. It’s €20 for arrivals between 8pm and 9pm, €30 from 9pm to 11pm, €40 from 11pm to midnight, and €50 from midnight to 1am. I can’t understand the reasoning. I’ve travelled to many countries and never been charged because my flight arrived late, especially when I’d already sent my arrival time in advance. The owner is just as exacting about checkout. We were due to leave at 10am, and at 9:50 the owner called and demanded we be out in five minutes. Our little one had been ill overnight, so we apologised and said we’d be five minutes late, but that didn’t help. Just a few minutes after 10, as we stepped out, the cleaner was already at the door and rushed straight in with the owner. I found that a bit unprofessional. Guests should stick to checkout time, but being five minutes late after a child has been ill all night shouldn’t be the end of the world.

The balconies have beautiful mountain views, and the staff were friendly. The place was clean in the sense that there was no dust or cobwebs, but the floors felt sticky. Some parts of the apartment, including walls and doors, were scratched or damaged. It was smaller than the description suggested. There were three of us, which was the stated capacity, but we didn’t have much room to live comfortably, especially if you aren’t family since the beds are all in one room. The location isn’t ideal, though it’s fine if you don’t need to do much. A decent budget stay.

Getting up to that lovely view from the window is so relaxing. The place feels enchanting, peaceful, and welcoming, with well-kept, beautiful furnishings and everything we need for a free and easy holiday. LIVIGNO is magical every year, and staying in this lovely chalet makes it even more special. We’ve chosen Layla for a relaxing break four or five times, and we keep coming back. Antonella and Giorgio are incredibly kind and friendly, and make us feel at home. Nami, the house mascot, is so sweet. The location is perfect, right in the center and only steps from the dairy. Our little dog is spoiled and feels loved by everyone here too. Sadly, our holiday is over again.

We and our four-legged friend Margot felt right at home in this welcoming apartment. The owners were so kind, and they greeted us with an excellent Prosecco when we left. It’s in a quiet area, but well placed for hikes and walks, and only two minutes from the center. We’d be very happy to come back! Laura and Guido
