Hotel Pontiglia

The staff were always smiling and really friendly, and there’s free outdoor parking, with a garage available for an extra charge. We could store our skis and snowboard in lockers, and the bus stop is right across the road. The hotel sits just off the main road, so the shops are easy to reach while it still feels quiet. The lifts are very close too. Our room was cleaned every day, breakfast was very good, and dinner was delicious with different dishes each day. This was our second stay, and I’d recommend the place. The one thing that bothered us this time was the booking price climbing by €200 between starting and completing the reservation, apparently because demand was higher. That shouldn’t happen.

We were there for a week on half board, and the food was a real highlight: breakfast had more variety than I expected, and every dinner was so delicious. The room was roomy and very clean, with a nice view of the ski slopes. The hotel is handy for the Christmas market, shops and slopes, and we walked to the chairlift. The ski bus stop right beside the hotel connects across Livigno, which was very useful. Everyone on staff was kind and helpful. A wonderful stay, and I highly recommend it.

My wife and I spent two weeks here without the kids, our first trip like that in twenty years. We kept busy with hiking, biking and running, with trails for different ability levels. There was room to store our bikes and it was comfortable coming back each evening. We loved it.

Just a minute on foot from the town centre and ski lifts, and good value for the money. I stayed three nights at Hotel Pontiglia and really enjoyed it. Sara replied to my booking emails quickly, then gave me a friendly explanation of everything at check-in. The rooms were lovely, breakfast was superb and the staff were very friendly. I’ll definitely come back.
