Hotel Intermonti

The hotel itself was old but looked after, and I liked the service from the reception, which did its best to provide good help. I came from Poland for a rest, with the booking arranged for me as a gift. But meeting the director in the hotel restaurant was unpleasant. The tables were full and we wanted to sit together; he answered rudely and acted unfriendly.

The rooms were in terrible shape, and the elevators were badly messed up. The pool was green, while the spa was tiny and nothing like the photos. Staff seemed to know very little about the area, and there was no shuttle bus, which you'd expect at a four-star hotel. A leaking toilet faucet kept us awake for three nights. We called and spoke with the front desk at least 20 times, but nobody fixed it. Then, when we checked out, they charged us 5 euros per day because our room had a balcony. Since when does that belong on the room bill? This was the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. We're appalled and would never come back.

I stayed here for a week in each of two seasons, and came away with a very positive impression. The price is genuinely affordable, and the spa has several saunas, a pool, and a couple of other places to relax. Teola ski lift is nearby too. The food, especially breakfast, is the one thing I'd like to see improved.

I've visited Livigno 14 times, and this was my worst stay. The price simply didn't match the quality. We booked a room for four, but it was really for three with a very poor sofa bed added. The garage cost 15€/night, and the ski storage smelled bad and had little room for skis, with nowhere at all for a snowboard. Room service came just once, on the second day, so we had nowhere for rubbish or wet towels after that. We even had a man come into rooms checking temperatures with a thermometer. The kitchenette was tiny and poorly equipped, and if you use it, final cleaning costs 100€. In the evenings, hotel staff smoked inside the hall. Hotel Intermonti, never again!
