Livì Family Hotel

The location worked really well for a family ski trip, with the lifts close by. Our kids also had plenty to enjoy indoors: the playroom was roomy and comfortable, and the menu had affordable choices made with children in mind. We appreciated the practical help too. The hotel washed and dried our clothes for a reasonable fee and brought them to the room, and the babysitting gave us a little time to ourselves. The owner was polite and respectful throughout. We asked to have the room warmer because we had two children under four and it dropped to -16°C outside overnight. They explained the room could not go above 22°C, but did what they could to help. We had a lovely stay at Livì - Mountain Hotel for Family & Friends. It exceeded our expectations, and we'd happily return.

The restaurant food was great, and service started on time every day. We spent a week here and would gladly come back. Our room was clean and looked after, and everyone on staff was friendly and ready to help. There was enough room in the ski storage for a couple of pairs per room, with locks and boot warmers.

We come to Livigno every year, and this was easily the worst of the four-star hotels we've tried. The owner was hard to reach; the receptionist dealt with everything on their behalf. In the room, the kettle, lights, and hairdryer didn't work, and circuit breakers were openly accessible above the child's bed. The furniture and fittings felt cheaply made. Food was another problem. We arrived a little late for breakfast and dinner and found about half the food already gone. The waiter, whose English was very poor, said it was because there were more people staying at the hotel. He couldn't recommend a wine either, saying he doesn't drink wine. Dinner was below average and often inedible, with no variety. Overall, it felt like a low to average three-star hotel.

We only stayed a short time, but really liked it. Livigno itself is lovely and very welcoming for kids, and the hotel is handy for the lifts, shops, restaurants, and everything else. The breakfast was tasty and had something for everyone. Friendly staff, a nice interior, and a fun playroom with lots to try, plus little play areas around the hotel. A great place for families.
