Montivas Lodge

Montivas Lodge is a great choice in the San Rocco ski area, with good food, clean rooms, and really good service. There’s storage for both ski and bike gear, and the ski lockers are handy for drying wet things. You find your locker by room number. Hot drinks are available through the day, and cold drinks from the bar can be charged to your bill at checkout. I’d highly recommend it.

The wooden furniture gives the modern hotel a pleasant feel. Breakfast has a huge selection and it’s all delicious. There’s coffee, tea, and snacks available free through the day, and if you skip room cleaning, you get a complimentary drink.

This is a simple, no-frills bed and breakfast, but it’s clean and the bed was fresh. I liked the room, breakfast buffet, and ski lockers. Our group was very noisy, which probably didn’t help with getting staff attention, though they did help me retrieve my forgotten car keys without fuss despite the impression we’d made. I missed some of the extras I’m used to: there’s no bar or restaurant, comfortable lobby, or sauna.

I stayed for two weeks and was very happy with it. The staff were lovely and breakfast was very good. I especially liked the drinks they offer when you choose not to have your room cleaned. It’s an environmentally friendly idea that suits me. Thanks!
