Hotel Il Fondaccio

From the village, there are lovely walks nearby, and the hotel has wonderful views from a beautiful setting. Linda made us feel welcome straight away and was friendly and helpful throughout. We had a wonderful stay, and nothing seemed too much trouble.

Linda was so helpful, even finding us e-bikes for a ride up the mountain. The hotel sits in a cute little mountain town, and the pool has a nice view. Dinner and breakfast were superb.

The food was outstanding, and the room was very comfortable. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. There's an interesting garage next door, full of rather dusty Italian classics, and the wooded valley behind the hotel has amazing views.

We were only there for one night, though we had originally booked two. I needed reliable internet in the room for a Skype meeting the second night, so it wasn't a good fit on this occasion. The owner refunded that night without question. If I hadn't needed phone reception and internet for a private meeting, I would've happily stayed the extra night, and I'd consider coming back for a quiet, relaxing escape. Our upstairs room was well equipped with a comfortable bed. When we arrived in autumn, the weather had just turned cold, and I was feeling unwell with a bad cold. The room was chilly at first, but the owners turned on the central heating and brought us another blanket. The hospitality was really, really good. Parking took some figuring out at first, though you can be inventive about finding a spot in Italy. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly downstairs, but the booster in the upstairs rooms seemed faulty at the time. Things like that happen, and there wasn't anything the hotel could have done to prevent it.
