Hotel 1783 Dimora d'Epoca

Nando knows Locorotondo and Puglia inside out, from places to visit to restaurants and parking. He and Chiara are both warm, charming hosts, and Rosana took lovely care of the rooms while making a lively breakfast each morning. The bedrooms and bathrooms are finished to a really high standard, and there’s a lovely rooftop terrace for an aperitivo at sunset. The hotel has been carefully restored by Nando and Chiara, a father and daughter team. Locorotondo is also a perfect base for seeing Puglia. Highly recommended if you get the chance to stay here.

The breakfast was delicious, and the hospitality was first rate. We had an early departure on our last day, but the owner insisted on packing breakfast and extra coffees for us to take along. The building is beautiful, modern and pristine, right in the middle of a perfect little town. Our room felt luxurious, the air conditioning worked well, and both the bed and linens were very comfortable. The terraces were lovely too. Having a large, inexpensive parking lot nearby made it easy to come and go.

Chiara was an amazing host at this small B&B, and Rosanna made homemade breakfasts. There’s a jacuzzi downstairs and a fireplace in the main room, which made the place feel even more homey. It’s in the middle of one of Locorotondo’s most gorgeous streets. Honestly, it’s the kind of beautiful place you can picture in your head, and it felt like home, maybe better since I don’t have a fireplace at home. Highly recommended!

Locorotondo is a real gem, and I could easily have stayed there for a week. Chiara’s hospitality was incredible, she’s thoughtful and kind. Rosanna made us aperitivo, and the rooftop terraces and jacuzzi in the old cistern were wonderful. I’ve travelled a lot, and this was easily the most beautiful hotel stay I’ve had. I hope I can come back.
