After the drive down from Rome, we got there at 10pm and found the doors locked. We’d had a long day and had no idea what was happening. Eventually another guest left and we managed to get into the hotel, but nobody was there to check us in. After about 10 minutes of waiting and wondering, a man turned up. We were tired and angry about the complete lack of service, and he spent five minutes shouting at us at the top of his voice. He didn’t speak a word of English, but we understood him to say he’d just gone home for 5 minutes and wanted to know what the problem was. I’ve never been welcomed like that at a hotel. It was an unbelievably unpleasant and unprofessional experience. He had no self-control and needs to learn how to host and welcome guests. The room was okay, but the shower was incredibly small.

The service was incredible. We arrived at 3 am and were greeted warmly. Since we were hungry, they gave us cold water, then warmed up the pizza we’d bought and brought us plates, knives, and forks. The location is nice, close to many places we visited, and there’s a supermarket beneath the hotel. The room had everything we needed and was good, though the shower was tiny.

We spent two nights in Locorotondo and want to thank everyone at Hotel Donna Crescenza for making us feel so at home. The kindness, warmth, and genuine care meant a lot to us, and everything was handled with such grace and attention. The food you made was delicious, too. Rosanna, Giovanna, Elena, Luka, and Angelo each helped make the stay unforgettable. Your generosity and friendliness went far beyond what we expected, and I felt almost humbled by your care and dedication. Thank you for welcoming us as if we were part of your home. We’ll remember the experience with great appreciation.

Staying at Donna Crescenza was the best choice we made in Locorotondo. We’d planned two nights there and then a stay at another hotel in a different city, but after the first night we liked it so much that we cancelled the other booking and stayed a few more nights at Donna Crescenza. The room and bathroom were very comfortable, and the shower was great. The hotel is beautiful and seemed to have been recently renovated when we visited in April 2025. The bathroom was spacious, and the room was super comfortable. We had breakfast every day, and that was the right choice. It was wonderful. The croissants and breads seemed freshly made at a local bakery, warm and really well done. The cappuccino was delicious, one of the best I had during the trip. The service was friendly, too. We know very little Italian, but they were patient with us and made a real effort to communicate. The location is very good. We walked to lots of places, including several restaurants nearby, and felt very safe walking around at night.
