Masseria Serio

I’ve never stayed anywhere that made me feel like this. The silence was just what I needed to recharge straight away. The people were lovely, and the rooms were really clean. You do need a car to get there, and there’s a bit of rural road to drive. My best accommodation ever 😊 thankies!♥️

The pool and its surroundings were stunning, easily up there with a five-star resort. We stayed five days at Serio, a masseria in trulli country, and our hosts, Girolamo and his father Nicola, were delightful. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and memorable, even giving us bottles of their own wine and oil. The apartment was clean and well equipped, with good-sized bedrooms, kitchen, and living areas for four adults. The shared bathroom was a bit small. The location was great, and it was a short walk to the local bar in San Marco. Elisa, an Italo Australian who lives in San Marco, was a wonderful local guide. Her knowledge and visits to local restaurants and food producers made our tour of the area extra special. Thank you, Girolamo, Nicola, and Elisa!

A wonderful rock pool, shaded by ancient trees, was a lovely place to spend the day. The quiet and relaxing atmosphere often made us choose to stay there instead of heading to the nearby beaches. We had a dream week at one of the most beautiful masserie in the Itria Valley. The owners were truly lovely, so kind and always available, and gave us the best help throughout our stay. The pool made our stay even better, and Masseria Serio is wonderfully placed in the enchanting Itria Valley. Everything we needed for comfort was there, and the setting was perfect for a relaxing break. Girolamo and Annamaria were so thoughtful and kind that it felt like staying with friends. We’d happily recommend it.
