Ottolire Resort

The pool area was a highlight, peaceful and beautifully designed, just right for relaxing in the sun. We found the food excellent too, with a delicious breakfast full of fresh, high-quality choices and an equally impressive dinner. The staff were so friendly and made us feel at home right from arrival. It’s a dreamy, distinctive hotel in a quiet, serene setting that feels far from everyday life. Highly recommended for a calm, charming break to recharge.

The surroundings are lovely and so peaceful, and the staff were excellent throughout our relaxing stay at Ottolire. Breakfast was just what we needed, fresh fruit picked from the grounds each day, pastries, eggs cooked how you like them and a huge choice of other treats. We can’t wait to come back.

We recently held our wedding here with 35 guests. The resort grounds were well kept, and the staff, especially Mary and Flavio, were attentive. The owners were kind and the food was good. I was impressed by how much care they gave to guests’ dietary restrictions. Our guests also mentioned how pretty the resort was and how good the massages were.

Caring for our dog after surgery forced us to cancel our trip. We knew the booking was non-refundable, but hoped the hotel might show some understanding and let us change the dates. They refused, which felt lacking in compassion, and offered only to change the name on the booking, an option that wasn’t practical or helpful. Since it was high season, it seems likely the room was resold while we were still charged in full. I also posted about the experience on TripAdvisor, where the hotel’s public response upset me. They said we hadn’t provided a veterinary certificate, though nobody had asked us for one. After seeing that reply, I immediately sent the veterinary documents, but the hotel never acknowledged them or responded. The whole situation was very disappointing, especially while looking after our recovering dog and dealing with the cost of losing our holiday. We would not recommend this hotel.
