A lovely, quiet and clean place with a beautiful garden and a nice pool. It’s easy to relax here, and the location works well for exploring the surrounding area.

We stayed here for a week in October and were cold the whole time. The listing said the Trulli had heating and two fireplaces, so we expected somewhere cozy even in chilly weather. When we arrived, we were told the fireplaces were just decorative and the heating wasn't working.

The garden and hilly surroundings were lovely, and the complex has a pool. It was very quiet, with a great neighborhood shop nearby where we found delicious cappuccino. The drinking water tasted good to me, with no chlorine smell or taste while we were there. Despite the issues, we had a wonderful holiday. Our cottage, "het Troelo", looked beautiful, and we enjoyed the week. When we first went in, though, it smelled musty. We took away the ripe grapes by the door and aired the place out. As an active tenant, I missed having a dustpan and brush, maybe a broom too. We also had no tea towels, so remember to ask for or bring some. The bed setup was just a loose sheet and bedspread, which I find outdated; bed linen is much more comfortable. The shower was the main problem. Water didn't drain well, so we stood in dirty water each night, and it nearly clogged. The drain was too small and connected to an outside cesspool. The shower area was cramped enough that we kept bumping the mixer tap, which would shut off or change setting. The rain showerhead was incomplete, so the water flow was poor. Turning the tap off was the only way to stop the shower filling with water. There was mold in the shower, and the curtain didn't help it dry out. I'm mentioning all this for future guests. A few other things weren't working: the light above the extractor hood and coffee machine, and the extractor fan itself. The benches might possibly be usable as beds, but I'm not sure. I was really upset while trying to relax and watch TV. The heater maintenance is a real puzzle, too. And the fly screen keeps catching in the front door when you close it, stopping the door from shutting. A real nuisance 😞 Still, we had a lovely, clean holiday home overall. 🤩👋🏻

The quiet setting, big garden and pool made for a lovely stay, and we really enjoyed our time at Piccoli's Trulli. Trulli Carlo was clean and beautiful when we arrived, with soft, comfortable beds. We got a friendly welcome with an espresso, and the owner was quick to respond on WhatsApp. A few things could be improved. The pool loungers badly need replacing, and there wasn't an outdoor seating spot at Trulli Carlo. Luckily, the neighbors let us borrow a bench. The shower drain was blocked, which meant we kept using towels to mop up the water that overflowed. Even with those snags, it was a charming place with lots of hospitality, and well worth visiting.

Locorotondo makes a lovely base for visiting Cisternino, Alberobello, Martina Franca, and the Selva di Fasano, all towns with plenty of charm. The town itself is a pearl of the Itria Valley, with beauty, culture, traditions, and a lively feel. A few kilometers away, in the Trito district, this peaceful retreat sits in a distinctive natural setting, away from city bustle and ideal for relaxing. The owner has restored historic trulli and made five different apartments, each with its own thoughtful style and refined details. Every room is different, with modern design alongside original features such as arches, vaults, niches, and fireplaces. I found it very comfortable. Sleeping in a trullo bedroom is an experience everyone should try. The generous outdoor area adds to the appeal, with a lovely garden, private pool, and fully equipped bar.
