We’d booked five nights, but got held up on the way and arrived 30 minutes after their check-in time. They wouldn’t wait and basically told us there was no chance of staying, even though we’d already travelled 400kms to get there. We had to find somewhere else for that night. The next day we couldn’t get hold of them at all. We made many attempts to check in and got silence, and even Booking.com couldn’t reach them. Booking cancelled the prepaid reservation, so we went elsewhere. I can’t rate the property itself from a holiday stay we never had, but the whole situation was stressful and unnecessary.

The rooms don’t look in real life like they do in the photos on Booking or Google maps. The wardrobes were damaged inside, and the TV table was about to fall apart. The owner then tried to charge extra money as a penalty for damage to the furniture.

A quiet place among the vineyards, with a nice pool and rustic rooms. The food was excellent, and it’s a peaceful base for visiting the Lake Garda area and Verona.

When we arrived, we found out the restaurant would be closed for the whole week. We would have appreciated knowing in advance, since we had to travel every day for lunch and dinner. After a year of work, we’d planned a four-day break somewhere with the things we needed, without having to go far. The Booking.com photos are very misleading. The pool area was the only part that matched. The entrance was dirty and messy, with abandoned laptops outside our room that looked like they’d been there for months, and a boiler right outside the entrance. Hospitality clearly isn’t their strong point. I hope they at least know how to make wine.
