Breakfast was good, and the place was clean. It has a lot of potential, though I’d suggest a few improvements. I spent one night with my family, and we felt at home. Marco greeted us with real enthusiasm. Our room was bright and spacious, with a comfortable bed, a recently renovated bathroom, and a kitchen with good equipment. It was very quiet because the pub downstairs was closed at the time.

Breakfast was the last straw: the food looked almost spoiled, and I found more bedbugs in the cooking area. I’d already spent hours removing 20 of them from my room, from 8:00 PM until midnight. The windows had been left open, so the room was freezing and damp, even though it wasn’t autumn. I was there before a race the next day and barely slept, which nearly wrecked my performance. The place is isolated, and the old monastery looked like a horror movie when I walked in. The garden was completely neglected, and there was almost no service. I didn’t speak to management immediately because I had no energy or time to waste and didn’t want to compromise myself. I contacted Teammite Booking and got no reply. Even though this was a breach of contract, I’ll never get back the €40 I paid. I’m used to decay, but I’ve never seen anything like this. I hope they close it down. I’m attaching photos.

The woman running the place was nice, and I could see she meant well, but I found it hard to get past all the problems. The property felt neglected and slapdash, and breakfast was self-service with only Lidl products. I’d never slept on synthetic sheets before, and after last night I understand why. Probably one of the worst stays I’ve had.
