The pool was a welcome way for the family to cool off, day and night, before heading out to explore nearby sights. We found peace and quiet as soon as we entered this well-maintained, renovated property, and it left us feeling refreshed, body and mind. The staff are a family who live there and look after the place. They’re cultured and respectful, know the area and its history, and give knowledgeable suggestions for things to do and places to visit. There’s ample parking. It’s a great base for a few nights in the Nebrodi Mountains, with a welcoming, hospitable, authentic feel. Nearby highlights include the Monastery of San Filippo Fragala, San Marco D'Alunzio, the Catafurco Waterfalls (until April and after October), and the Nebrodi Mountains.

Mrs. Lucia is extraordinary, tireless in looking after guests, always available, and such a pleasure to listen to when she tells stories about the castle and the area. It’s a magnificent place full of nature and history. The rooms are simple and rustic, kept almost as they were so you can really feel immersed in the place. The food and breakfast were both excellent, and I thought the value for money was good. I’ll definitely return!

The homemade food is excellent, from the bread to the meat, made using produce from the farm’s own land. The rooms are fairly large, simple, and charming, and dogs are welcome to roam freely. I couldn’t find anything to complain about. The castle is peaceful, with a lovely view of the Nebrodi Mountains and a good location for visiting several attractions. The staff are hospitable, kind, and helpful. Lucia especially stands out: she’s cultured, devoted to her work and the sacrifices it takes, and clearly loves what she does. Time seems to slow down here. For anyone hoping to find peace of mind and recharge, this is the right place. My mother, our big puppy, and I will definitely be back!
