Pensione Sonnen Residence

We were really pleased with the location: the train station is a three-minute walk away, the pub takes five minutes, and there’s a small shop two minutes away, though it closes on weekends. It’s also right by several hiking trails. The apartment looked lovely and had plenty of space. The long, wide balcony was a favorite, with room for the family to sit together under a starry sky. Inside, the apartment was clean, but we found dust and dead insects on the windowsills. I didn’t mind cleaning those up myself. What bothered me more was having to shop for basics like soap, dish liquid, and bin bags. There was no kettle either, just a coffee machine that needed filters we hadn’t brought. Wi-Fi was only available in some rooms, and we weren’t in one of them. The basement pool was close by and we couldn’t hear noise from it, but the room was extremely hot, even after 41-degree weather outside. The water had a slimy green coating, which was unpleasant. There was one shared washing machine, and it was broken: our paid load came out soaking wet, full of detergent, and left water on the floor. A 90-minute cycle cost €3.50, other cycles €7. You needed tokens from reception, but no one seemed to be there. The instructions were only in German and Italian, and we had to leave notes on paper and hope for an answer. Nobody offered a refund. We also missed out on the Ritten Card, which gives visitors benefits like free local transport. The information at the train station said regional guests should receive one from their host, but we didn’t get one from Sonnen Residence. We only learned about it on our last day and could have saved about €150-200.
