Ornella, Gianni and their family are the real highlight. They’re delightful hosts and always willing to help. The house sits on a farm making excellent Dritte olive oil, which tasted unlike any I’d tried before. Ornella also puts on delicious breakfasts, with fresh farm eggs if you ask and a great cappuccino. It’s a lovely place in the Abruzzo countryside, yet only a few minutes by car from Loreto Aprutino, with its supermarket, restaurants, post office and other essentials.

The view of the Majella mountains and the olive groves around the property is astonishing, and there’s a parking space right outside your door. The apartment was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had in Italy, with lots of fresh, locally made options. Ornela and Gianni made us feel like part of the family, and their hospitality and service were wonderful. Gianni’s mother makes outstanding olive oil, and Ornela gave us a taste of the harvest. If I ever open a B&B, Ornela and Gianni would be the perfect people to teach me how to run it.

Gianni’s care and enthusiasm are what really make this B&B feel special. He made us feel at home, and breakfast was excellent, with quality ingredients tailored to our tastes. We spent a couple of days here while hiking in the Abruzzo mountains. The place is enchanting, very well kept, and has a stunning view. The owners’ approach to hospitality should be an example to many starred hotels.

Our host welcomed us warmly and spoiled us with delicious treats, plus a taste of the family’s exquisite organic olive oil. The setting is peaceful and green, up on a hill with a beautiful view. We could relax there and visit nearby medieval villages to try authentic local products. Highly recommended.

Gianni was so kind and courteous, and took the time to suggest lovely places to see and spots for good local food. The location made a great base for discovering Abruzzo, with exceptional views of both the Majella and Gran Sasso mountains as the sun sets. I’d highly recommend it for a short escape or a longer stay.
