We’ve just got back to London after a week at Podere Casarotta, and we already miss the villa and Simone. Our group of 13 had the whole property to ourselves, which made it a beautiful private getaway. The Tuscan views are stunning, the pool is great, and the traditional-style apartments are lovely, with bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, shared space, welcome packs, and towels in each private area. You can retreat to your own space and still enjoy the shared grounds, surrounded by nature and 360-degree views. Simone was in touch and helpful from before we boarded the plane, checking in before, during, and even after our stay. He tailored things to make the trip work for everyone. He helped book taxis, arranged winery tours, suggested and reserved restaurants, chatted with us, and cooked some of the best food we’ve had. One night he made an incredible birthday dinner for all 13 of us, using fresh local ingredients. He checked dietary needs and preferences, then served starters, salads, fresh pasta, barbecue meat and fish, and a fantastic tiramisu. We talked about that meal every day afterward, and still do now that we’re home. For a group staying at Podere Casarotta, having Simone cook is a must. He knows his food and will help make your holiday as good as it can be. We’re already planning to return. It was the best vacation any of us has had.

We rented the whole property for five days for 13 guests, our first trip to Tuscany, and it was even more beautiful and spacious than the photos suggested. The apartments were roomy, the grounds were secluded and beautifully kept, the pool was large, and the views were amazing. We also held our micro wedding there, and the outdoor wedding dinner had a beautiful backdrop. Our planner worked with Simone and everything went perfectly. Simone was quick to answer questions and so accommodating, both before and during our stay. He met us at check-in, showed us around, gave us good recommendations, and was easy to reach. We’d highly recommend renting the whole place and hope to return.

A magnificent property and a wonderful host. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back. It’s a lovely base for day trips to Florence, Chianti, or Rome, which is an hour away by fast train. Highly recommend it for a real Tuscan experience.

I had a very nice seven-night stay in 2016. The apartment was clean, spacious, and had a view. The location was remote and peaceful, and the pool was nice, though I was surprised by how many wasps were around. The manager was very cool, and the manager’s girlfriend cooked amazing, authentic food. A family with two kids arrived two days into our stay. They were spoiled, noisy brats, and their grandmother was dragonlike and didn’t seem to care about other guests’ comfort. Simone handled the situation very sensitively, so we could enjoy our stay and the kids could burn off their huge need to move at a nearby water park. Very professional!

The first thing you notice is the quiet, with only nature to hear. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen is well equipped, and there’s a private garden. The pool was nice too.
