Relais Palazzo Paleologi - Secolo Xiv

The building is magnificent, and I was impressed when I first arrived. That feeling didn't last long, though. The room's refrigerator was switched off, and I had to pay extra to keep water cold. A pay-as-you-go minibar, apparently. Breakfast was quite limited, more contained than continental, and there were plenty of extra charges to choose from. The costs were explained vaguely, so I only discovered them afterward. During my three-night stay, I was given one small bottle of water. When I asked why, I was told that maintaining such a place costs money. Apparently water counts as a luxury here. It's a beautiful location with a lot of potential, but the attention seems to be on charging for extras instead of looking after guests. A real pity.

Dana was a wonderful host, friendly, very helpful, and fluent in English. We especially enjoyed breakfast in the lovely lounge, and the wine cellar visit is well worth it. We're still enjoying the delicious wines we found there. The hotel sits in a beautiful location and has an interesting history. Our room was clean and attractive, with original details. Nearby facilities were convenient, and it was easy to get to larger cities like Turin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Dana!

We had a lovely stay, and Dana made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was lovely too, though a little pricey for us. Maybe that's because the ingredients were good local produce, and the chef, Dana's husband, made the croissants. All in all, an amazing stay!

The village is small, so the place was a little tricky to find, but I found my way. It's a beautiful setting and a lovely building, and the lady of the house was super nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was excellent.
