Agriturismo Buriano

A beautiful spot, managed really well.

Even with the property full, the pool was a relaxing, pleasant place to spend time. Our double room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and it stayed cool despite mid-August temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, even without air conditioning. The Buriano farmhouse sits on a large estate in upper Tuscia, Viterbo, among olive and hazelnut trees, with apartments in different sizes as well as private double rooms. My fiancée and I stayed in one of those rooms. Phone reception is poor, as it is in many parts of Tuscia, but the Wi-Fi in the rooms worked perfectly. The pool is by the first apartment block, and from the second block it's just a short walk through the hazelnut trees. Giacomo was very helpful and friendly, while also discreet. The private rooms share a small common area with a fridge and coffee maker. One small suggestion: some snacks or packaged treats at breakfast would have made the stay even better. Highly recommended!

We slept very well because it was incredibly quiet, and the Wi-Fi worked great. The owner was quite nice, and Jovez, just a few minutes away, is a restaurant we highly recommend. We ate there four times. Still, we weren't happy with the apartment, which had a pool view. It was damp and cold, with a very unpleasant smell that got into all our clothes quickly. The musty odor was even worse inside the closets, so we couldn't use them. The bathroom was large and had a bathtub, but no shower, and there was nowhere to put things except the windowsill. There was no counter space in the kitchen, no spices or coffee maker, and not even kitchen towels, so bring those things yourself. We've stayed in many agriturismos, and they were all better equipped.

The staff were so kind and attentive to what guests needed. We really enjoyed staying in the little house, which had lots of room for wheelchair access and was well equipped. Traveling with someone disabled isn't easy, but this quiet, beautiful, well-kept place surrounded by greenery made it a lovely stay. We hope to return soon!
