Al Tuscany B&b

The owner was so friendly. Our room was ready early, around 10 am instead of the scheduled 2 pm check-in, so we could leave our bags and head out to enjoy the city hands-free. It was clean and spacious, and although we stayed only two nights, they serviced it after the first night. You can tell a lot of care goes into this place, which I believe is family-run. We were in the attic, where the walls were rather thin. Luckily, the guests next door were considerate, so it wasn’t a problem. One thing to fix, though: the stairway lighting sensors at the top of the attic stairs need attention. I nearly fell because I couldn’t see a step.

I come back to Lucca every year and always stay here. The hotel is perfectly placed inside the city walls, the rooms are very clean, and the staff are helpful. Claudio, the owner, is a kind host who’s always happy to make you a coffee and share any information you need about the area.

I was here for just one night, but really enjoyed it. The room was very clean and spacious, the location was excellent, and breakfast was great. Mr Claudio and his assistant made us feel genuinely welcome and did everything they could to give us a good stay. On a rainy morning, he even drove us to the train station in his own car. So kind of him! Thanks to Mr. Claudio and Al Tuscany for a great time in Lucca.

Claudio has a real passion for hosting people, and he’s an amazing person. This family-run B&B feels like home in enchanting medieval Lucca, in a historic house unlike any other.
