The rooms get plenty of sun, the showers are nice, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. This is a quiet, convenient budget stay for families, tucked along a little alley within Lucca's walls. There’s no breakfast at the hotel, but a nearby pastry shop offers it for a small charge. The manager is only around at odd hours, so there’s barely a front desk, though we didn’t need much help. If you’re happy with a private, quiet residence, that works fine. Checkout was 10:15 a.m., which felt early, but we were leaving early anyway. Parking is about 200 metres away. Since the B&B is on a one-way street, the drive back can take around seven minutes. It’s worth briefly stopping outside to unload people and bags before parking. There’s also a self-service laundry about 150 minutes from the hotel. The city wall is about 200 metres away and has a pleasant 4.4 km loop for walking, running, or cycling.

Lucca’s walled centre makes it easy to get around on foot, and the train station is only about a ten-minute walk away. I was very pleased with my one-night stay. The room was exceptionally clean, and the owner was both pleasant and helpful. They often fill up, so book early if you want a room.

This is a sweet little guesthouse inside Lucca’s walls, in an old building. Street sounds still come through even with the windows shut, and the mattress wasn’t anything special. The bathroom, though, was nicely done. Just watch the low doorway if you’re tall, it caught my 6-foot-4 husband.

Alessandra was a great help, and the place is close to everything. Our room was spacious and lovely, with beds that were really comfortable. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The place was clean, nicely decorated, and had a roomy bedroom, with friendly staff and a good location. The Wi-Fi was free too. The staff were kind and did what they could to help, though they could have been better prepared to answer guests’ questions about sightseeing.
