We had aperitivo around 6:30 pm before dinner, with a few small snacks that were just right. It’s a great spot to sit and watch the people and atmosphere around Piazza San Michele, with good views too.

The setting is pretty, the prices are fair, and the service was warm and friendly. They also brought plenty of little snacks with our drinks.

We’re from Australia and spent six of our best nights in Lucca. Bar San Michele became a favorite, with coffee in the mornings and drinks in the evenings. The staff made us feel so welcome, and we can’t say enough good things about the cafe. Grazie millie, we’d recommend it to everyone.

That soy coffee is amazing, and the vegan cornetto is the best. I love how friendly the staff are every time I come in. The vegan cornetto has such great variety and quality, and I’d highly recommend this bar to vegans.

The piazza view is the best, though €8 felt a bit pricey for a Hugo spritz :)
