B&B Corte Toro

The location puts you right in the center of Lucca, and the rooms were clean and roomy. Our host was welcoming and kind. Apartment Corte Toro has a new owner, and it seems much better now than some older reviews suggest. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

Giacomo took time to patiently explain how everything at the B&B worked and was very helpful. We loved spending quiet time on the terrace with wine and a panini from town, and it was nice that wine and beer were available to enjoy there. The building and room were spotless, and the king bed was really comfortable. Such a lovely find in Lucca.

Giacomo made us a lovely breakfast and was so helpful. The room was spacious and nicely kept, with a warm, homey feel throughout the stay. I loved it here and would definitely recommend it if you want somewhere that feels like home.

What made the stay for us was Giacomo, who was always up for a chat and had useful tips, from restaurants and things to see to the quickest bus to Florence, and even Italian reggae music. The breakfast was plentiful and freshly made. It was Italian style, with no savory options, but fresh fruit, homemade honey, and oven-warm croissants were more than enough for us. The family-run B&B was one of the best parts of our Tuscan break. It's right in the city center, close to everything, yet peaceful, with no traffic noise and a big terrace to relax on. We were there when Italy won Euro 2021, and could hear the celebrations far off, but still slept like babies. Rooms were clean and cared for, and the shower was excellent.
