10/10
The owner had so much waiting for us: coffee, oil, condiments, fresh fruit, ham and milk, plus a bottle of wine as a gift. What a welcome. Grazie Mille Amans. The apartment was spotless, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. It’s less than a 20-minute walk from Lucca, and we wished we’d stayed longer. We couldn’t give it a higher rating, even seven stars wouldn’t feel like too much.

It’s a peaceful, welcoming spot with bikes for the ride into Lucca’s center. The lady at Casa Cenerentola was always available when we had questions, and there are plenty of nearby conveniences, including minimarkets, pizzerias and restaurants. It’s also easy to get to Florence, Pisa, Volterra, Livorno, Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Massa Carrara, the Cinque Terre, Lerici, La Spezia, Abetone, Monte Cimone and other places from Casa Cenerentola. I’d call the stay exceptional.
